Committee of 100 Meets in New Orleans
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Committee of 100 meets bi-annually to discuss local and federal issues of concern. The most recent meeting was held in New Orleans. The four Louisiana Chamber representatives participated on a panel, sharing information about their regions of the state. Pictured from left are George Swift, Southwest Regional Alliance; Deborah Randolph, Central Louisiana (Alexandria); Lacey Osborne, St. Tammany and the Northshore; Adam Knapp, Baton Rouge Area Chamber. Also pictured is Sarah Armstrong, vice-president of the US Chamber Federation and Grassroots Advocacy.

During the two days of meetings, topics discussed included the impact chambers of commerce have as a unified voice on federal issues regarding obstacles to economic development; permitting; regulations; housing affordability; public safety/crime; workforce availability and the importance of having a strong voice on public policy issues which impact our members businesses.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Committee of 100 is comprised of experienced Chamber leaders who advise the U.S. Chamber’s Board of Directors, enhance the Chamber’s lobbying and coalition work, make recommendations on Chamber programming, and strengthen its outreach to the business and chamber communities.
