Recipients received their awards last week at our 21st Annual Business Appreciation Luncheon presented by Gulf Coast Bank & Trust Company, and sponsored by Humana and Inside Northside Magazine.

Nominations Open for Tammany and Community Leadership Awards
Each January, we recognize an outstanding business and community leader who have made an impact in our parish. Nominations are now being accepted for the Tammany and Community Leadership Awards, which will be announced at our annual Installation & Awards Luncheon presented by the Chamber's President Level Investors on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at The Greystone in Mandeville.

School Board Ends Contract, No Plan to Cut Benefits

Johnson's Bill Avoids Shutdown
Louisiana Senator and U.S. Speaker of the House Mike Johnson proposed a stopgap spending bill to fund part of the government through mid-January and the rest of the programs through early February. The bill made it through the U.S. House and Senate and was signed by President Biden avoiding a government shutdown. Read more here.
