DIRECTOR SPOTLIGHT

I am Dee Dobbs and it has been my pleasure to serve on the Board of Directors with the Ripley County Chamber of Commerce since 2018. Over the last couple of years, I have served on several committees such as the Easter Egg Hunt, Bowling and Golf Committee and the Business Luncheon and Annual Dinner. Each of these events are unique and a great opportunity for our members to connect with each other and make their business network even bigger.

Currently, I serve on the Executive Board as the Secretary. This opportunity has given me the chance to talk to the people in the community and understand their business and organization needs. It has really been a great experience and I am glad I have had the chance to serve on the Chamber Board. As a board member, I feel it is important to take new ideas and ways to build our community. Whether it be from networking events or just talking to people on a regular basis, it helps me to get a better understanding of what our community needs. As I serve on the Chamber Board, I hope to take these ideas and suggestions and further the growth of the Chamber and the community.

In professional life, I have held many positions at The Friendship State Bank during my career including that of a Teller, Data Processor, Head Teller, Customer Service Center Manager, Loan Operations Officer, Mortgage Loan Originator and currently Chief Consumer Loan Officer. I have been in the Loan Department of the bank since 2005. My responsibilities have ranged from managing the bank delinquency ratios, REO property transfers and sales, management of real estate loan processing, title review, underwriting of secondary market acceptable loans, and currently marketing mortgage loans in the marketplace. I am a licensed Title Insurance Salesperson as well as an escrowed Indiana Real Estate Salesperson. I have a vast experience within the bank industry and if you ever need assistance, please feel free to call me at the Friendship State Bank at (812) 667-5101.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my two kids, family and friends. I am a lifelong residence of this community and love what it has to offer. I feel it is important to live, work and volunteer in the community that you live so you are a part of something that will span for generations.

It has been a great experience being on the Ripley County Chamber of Commerce Board and hope to be able to serve the community for many more years to come!

In Indiana, the $600 Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation (FPUC) payments are set to expire the benefit week ending July 25. DWD will still make FPUC payments after that date on benefit weeks for July 25 and earlier, even if a claim is processed after July 25.
