Center of Concern is inviting you to Fight the Loneliness Epidemic with us and enjoy an evening of appetizers, cocktails, networking, expert panel discussion, and awards ceremony at this special Successful Aging Seminar.
Everyone needs social connections to survive and thrive. Social isolation is associated with a 50% percent increased risk of dementia, a 29% increased risk of heart disease, and a 32% increased risk of stroke. Loneliness increases risk of depression, anxiety, and suicide.
We all can help fight the loneliness epidemic.

There is no cost to attend this special event, though donations are encouraged. Doors open at 5:30pm for networking, appetizers, and a cash bar, the program will start at 6:30pm, and the evening will conclude at 8:30pm.

Certified Mentors from the SCORE North Cook and Lake Counties Chapter #0726 are available to mentor small business owners and start-ups with business registration, planning, marketing, product pricing, financing, etc. To set up your appointment, contact SCORE by filling out this form.
Larry Zanger is still helping but SCORE wants them to use this intake form instead to help match a client with the best mentor.

Nursery Care Giver
First United Methodist Church of Park Ridge, IL (www.parkridgeumc.org) is in search of a Nursery Care Giver (NCG) to start this fall. The NCG provides care for infants and toddlers in the nursery on Sunday mornings and manages any volunteers helping in the nursery. This is a 2 hour/wk position on Sundays from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
