'Production' has started for Southside Show-Biz, the business trade show for Danville and Pittsylvania County. This year's trade show will continue to focus on providing a high quality event that offers you access to new customers and marketing opportunities.

The 2015 trade show will begin on Monday, October 12, with a VIP reception, "by invitation only," for exhibitors and Chamber members from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at Averett University's North Campus. This year's reception will once again feature 'tastings' by local restaurants and caterers to enhance our already popular opening night.

The trade show will be open to the public on Tuesday, October 13, from 3 - 7 p.m. to attract greater attendance and allow people to come after work. In addition, we're planning special entertainment and attractions throughout the day to attract more people.

There are a limited number of exhibit booth spaces and sponsorships available. Information packets were sent to the Chamber membership's main representatives.  If you did not receive a packet, please click here for complete information or contact our office.

'Team Get Fit' Tip of the Week

Now that you're moving every 30 minutes or so, it's time to eat enough to sustain your focus and energy levels at work.  Instead of eating only three times a day, try five smaller meals:  breakfast, lunch, dinner and two snacks (mid-morning and afternoon).  You'll maintain optimal efficiency during the workday and you'll avoid the miserable energy crash from getting too hungry.

P.S.  You'll also eat less during those typical three meals a day.

(The Chamber will be featuring weekly fitness/wellness tips from Get Fit Dan River Region to assist you in having a healthier workforce.  We hope you will share it with your employees and co-workers.)
