Morah Shayna Davis

Parashat Shemini opens with the day of the dedication of the Mishkan, the eighth day of the week-long period of preparations and consecration of the Mishkan and its Kohanim. This was a great day for all of Am Israel and for Aharon Hakohen in particular. On this day, the Shechinah of Hashem was revealed for the first time in the Mishkan, Aharon and his sons began their service, and the Birkat Kohanim was said for the first time.

The Puppies have been learning all about the story of Pesach including all about Baby Moshe. They learned that Baby Moshe was placed in an ark and they learned that he grew up to help the Israelites out of Egypt. They learned songs about Baby Moshe and they even made their own Baby Moshe in an ark to take home!

Insignificant Events in the Life of a Cactus, Because of Mr. Terupt, and Firegirl. Every 5th grader is part of a Book Club and these are the books that they are reading. Students have the opportunity to read on their own, and in groups, and in groups with their teachers - Mrs. Howes and Ms. T. The students were riveted by the books and couldn't wait to read the next chapter!!
