In Parashat Emor we encounter the Mitzvah of Kiddush Hashem. The Torah tells us “ושמרתם מצותי ועשיתם אותם אני ה', ולא תחללו את שם קדשי ונקדשתי בתוך בני ישראל אני ה' מקדשכם, המוציא אתכם מארץ מצרים להיות לכם לאלוקים אני ה',” “And you will keep the Mitzvot and perform them, I am Hashem; And you will not defile My holy name and I will be sanctified amongst Bnei Yisrael, I am Hashem who sanctifies you; Who took you out of the land of Mitzrayim in order to be a G-d for you, I am Hashem.”
