This year, our application season is beginning earlier than in the past and applications are now open! New students may apply by clicking HERE. Current students do not need to confirm their re-enrollment at this time; their spots will be held until our reverification process later in the year.

While applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, we anticipate that the Toddler class will fill quickly and there are a limited number of spots in Latchkey.

Please reach out with any questions. We’re excited to welcome new students to Farber! Spread the word to families who might be interested in joining our community or let us know HERE if there is a family who we should reach out to.

Dr. Josh Levisohn

In Parashat Va-Era, Moshe demonstrates the might of Hashem by bringing seven of the ten plagues and Pharoah still stubbornly refuses to allow the people of Israel to leave. Despite Moshe’s worry that Pharoah wouldn’t listen to him because of his own inadequacies, it is actually a willful stubborness on Pharoah’s part that prevents him from listening…until Hashem appears to take away Pharoah’s free choice and hardens his heart. This hardening of the heart has the effect of causing yet more plagues and more plagues.

The Kittens and the Puppies have been learning about hibernation!! They played in snow made out of baking soda and conditioner….and painted ice and pictures of animals that hibernate… and they put their hand in a bag surrounded by another bag filled with Crisco and then ice was put on top so the kids could see how the fat in animals can keep them warm…Learning and fun go hand in hand….

Last night four Farber teams had games. The first one was a middle school matchup between the Fire and Cranbrook Cranes. The Farber team fought hard getting off to an early lead but after three quarters of competitive play the Fire were fatigued and lost the game. At Farber all three high school teams played against the Austin Catholic Crusaders. The first team to play was the Varsity Girls. Shayna Leib knocked down many shots but it was not to secure the win. The girls lost the game 39-32. The JV boys were the next team to take the court. Coach Eizen had the team well prepared. The boys got off to an early lead and never looked back. In the fourth quarter Eitan Pergament went on a tear hitting threes left and right, he ended the game with 25 points. The JV team dominantly won the game 54-18. The Varsity team played their last game before the David Tanzman tournament. The game was low scoring and defensively oriented. Austin Catholic was winning the game 18-15 going into halftime. At the start of the third quarter The Crusaders extended their lead to 9. The Varsity team did not give up hope. Thanks to a crucial three pointer by Matthew Shamayev and Gideon Lopatin's excellent scoring ability, Farber was able to regain the lead with two minutes to go in the fourth quarter. With fifty seconds to go Austin Catholic chucked up a shot from deep in the corner, the ball hit the top corner of the backboard and fell in. After this the Fire were unable to score, leading to the varsity team losing in devastating fashion 43-42. Next Thursday night the Tanzman tournament will kick off, the Varsity team has their eyes set on doing something no Farber team has been able to do before, adding a Tanzman trophy to the Farber trophy case.
