MSU

We are sickened and heartbroken about the news from Michigan State University late last night - three lives cut tragically short for no apparent reason. Our sympathies go out to everyone connected to MSU, everyone who has friends and relatives who were on campus last night, and, of course, most specifically to the families of the victims. This week , we said a perek of Tehilim in memory of those lost and in prayer for those injured.

For many in our community, MSU is very close - you are alumni, parents, or close friends with students. It was a harrowing night and the pain is very real.

May our world know no more sorrow.

To ensure we know about your life cycle event, please email Rachel Lopatin HERE.

If you would like to honor any of these occasions with a donation to Farber and a tribute sent out to them, please click HERE.

This year, our application season is beginning earlier than in the past and applications are now open! New students may apply by clicking HERE. Current students do not need to confirm their re-enrollment at this time; their spots will be held until our reverification process later in the year.

While applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, we anticipate that the Toddler class will fill quickly and there are a limited number of spots in Latchkey.

Please reach out with any questions. We’re excited to welcome new students to Farber! Spread the word to families who might be interested in joining our community or let us know HERE if there is a family who we should reach out to.

PARSHAT MISHPATIM

Rabbi Josh Strosberg

What happens when you borrow an item and accidentally lose it?  What happens when your animal does damage to another animal?  What if you dig a pit and someone falls in it?  Our parsha answers these questions but it is the Talmud (Sanhedrin 23a) that takes us behind the scenes of the judicial process.
