Inclement Weather: CentroNía parents, as we enter the winter season we would like to remind you all to please make sure your contact information is all up to date in case of a weather emergency.

If you would like to update your phone number within our records, please fill out this form and return it to our admissions office!

Diaper Bank: If you are in need of diapers, please complete this form. Reminder: CentroNía will distribute diapers directly to your child's classroom. If you have questions, please email Lisa Rivera at lrivera@centronia.org.

Pre-K Enrollment: DC Pre-K enrollment for the 2023-2024 school year is still open!

If you have children or know someone who has children between 3 - 4 years old for our early childhood education program, please fill out our waitlist application.

Pre-k Transition Meetings

CentroNía Parents! If you have an early learner moving up to Pre-K, join us for our Transition meeting!

Over Zoom learn about our Pre-K program, meet the program director, and ask any questions you may have before your little one makes the big change!

Tax Clinics

Tax season is here! Community Tax Aid will be hosting a tax clinic every Saturday from February 10th until April 20th for CentroNía DC families and staff at our Columbia Road center.

CentroNía Montgomery County Parents! Do you need help preparing taxes? From now until April 11th, The Community Action Agency's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is offering FREE tax help for income eligible residents!

Appointments are for 2023 taxes only and for Montgomery County residents with household incomes of $64,000 or less.

My School DC Lottery Deadline

Are you looking to apply to the My School DC Lottery? The My School DC is the common application and public school lottery for all DC Public Schools (DCPS), most public charter schools that serve PK3 – Grade 12 and other programs.

The application deadline for PK3-Grade 8 is March 1st! Need help with the process? Check out the My School DC Guide that has all the information you may need!

Interested to get in person support?

CentroNía and My School DC are hosting in person support sessions for parents at CentroNía Columbia Road from 10 AM -1 PM on selected dates! Meet with My School DC staff to get help with your 2024-2025 lottery application.

CentroNía is expanding

CentroNía is bringing it's early childhood education services and care to Bunker Hill Elementary and Silver Spring, Maryland!

CentroNía at Bunker Hill will have 4 classrooms and CentroNía at the Martha Gudelsky Child Development Center in Silver Spring will have 11 new classrooms.

These new centers will provide early childhood education and care to early learners and family support services to new families in the greater metropolitan area.

Storytime series: ¿Abuelita, Que Vamos Hacer Hoy? Let's make Rosca de Reyes!

CentroNía celebrated el Día de los Reyes or Three Kings Day with our early learners! They had a fun story time event and learned how to make rosca de reyes.

They also had a fun surprise waiting for them the next day! Thank you to all CentroNía donors who donated toys for our early learners this giving season. We would also like to give a special thanks to St. Augustine Catholic Church and George Washington University's Give-a-Gift program for bringing joy and lots of smiles to CentroNía kids and families!

Don't miss our next Story Time Series event: Hair Love & Our Beautiful Colors on February 15th! The English session will be at 4:15 PM and the Spanish session will be at 5:15 PM!

Join us in a workshop where families will receive ideas and strategies on how to entertain their child when they are busy and cannot give their undivided attention, especially when they are not home. This workshop will focus on simple ideas parents can use to keep children busy and entertained instead of resorting to screens.
