Reflection: The Spirituality of Sports


Are you a sports fan or could you care less about whatever sport is in season? Maybe you become more than a little miffed when a sporting event takes priority over something else scheduled on that same day or time. As the Super Bowl approaches, perhaps this is the time to consider another angle.


Is it possible to experience a change of mind and heart? Gail McCormick will share our Reflection about how one person can experience the evolution from judgment, of those who choose sports over other important activities and events, to understanding and love.

CENTRAL’S TALENT EXTRAVAGANZA


Once again, the always popular and entertaining Talent Extravaganza is coming back to The Mary Jane Lanford Fellowship Hall at Central UMC.


WHEN:

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 31, 2024 at 6:30 PM immediately following our Wednesday night supper

We welcome singers, players of musical instruments, comedians, wannabe comedians, skits, duets, trios, quartets, and any other performers, young or not-so-young eager to show their skills to a willing audience.
