Volatility continues in the housing sector due to uncertainty in the economy over inflation and thus leading mortgage rates higher. Was the last inflation data release a one off miss or is this a sustained problem? We won't know until mid-March when we get the next inflation update. This may be the most important and most watched CPI release in the last 7 months...
Despite all of this, the housing market is currently performing better than 2023 with more sellers listing their homes and buyers still buying. What happens in March could really set the pace for the rest of the year. Time will tell.
