Caitlin Bilodeau, a superb fencer and a special overall athlete, was one of the Fencers Club most successful and talented fencers.
Katy dominated her generation with energy, focus and grace. Katy attended Columbia University and trained at the Fencers Club. Katy was coached by Dr. Aladar Kogler, a four time U.S. Olympic Team coach, both while at Columbia and the Fencers Club.
Katy was twice National Junior Champion; member of Columbia University's fencing team with a 51-1 dual meet record her freshman year and 56-0 record her junior year; four time All-American, twice NCAA champion; first American woman finalist at World University Games team; member of seven US World Championship teams; two-time Pan-American champion, four times US National Champion; and on two US Olympic Teams: 1988 and 1992.
Katy was the top ranked US women fencer between 1985-1992, was named NCAA Athlete of the decade, also named by Columbia University Athlete of the Decade as well as Athlete of the Twentieth Century for fencing, selected by the USOC three times as Outstanding Fencer of the Year, and inducted into the US Fencing Hall of Fame in 2002.
Katy married a Canadian Olympian and has two children.
