Wishing you a happy Canada Day

and a safe long weekend.

We know every family is unique. No matter what it looks like, each is special.

Today, and every day, let's celebrate the incredible bonds and special moments that make family, a family.

The end of June is here, a time for celebration, fun in the sun

and planning your summer holidays. At CAFH it marks the end of our 34th year and we look back on all we are grateful for, the lives that have been impacted, the treasures we've received and the compelling reasons we continue our purpose.

Thank you for your role in the work we do, for your gifts, your moral support

and mostly for the trust you place in the work we do.

Congratulations Rai!

We are thrilled to share the fantastic news of Rai's graduation!

On June 10th Rai celebrated his convocation from Trent University. He graduated with Honours, and now holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree, majoring in Philosophy with a specialization in Applied Ethics.

In 2019 Rai was presented with the McPhie Bursary Award, the highest award CAFH presents to a youth who shows a significant sense of dedication and commitment to education. We have watched and cheered Rai's progress along the way and couldn't be prouder of all his accomplishments.

On to the next chapter Rai.

We know it's going to be great!

“Without the support CAS gave our family, I wonder where I would be today. Through the programs funded by the Children’s Aid Foundation of Halton and the personal support from so many role models, I am ready to face the next chapter of my life.

I thank all of you for your generous support of this organization that helped keep my family together and gave me the chance to realize my dreams!” ~ Rai

Even More to Celebrate!

At the Halton Children's Aid Society's 110th Annual General Meeting we were so excited to be able to hand over the BIGGEST one-time gift in our history. A cheque for $500,000 was presented to the Chair of Halton CAS Joyce See and Executive Director Janice Robinson.

The increased demand for assistance on the services of Halton CAS translates to an increase in the funds needed to sustain vital programs that enhance the work of the Society and enrich the lives of children, youth and families. Thanks to the generosity of donors, grantors and the support of the Halton community, CAFH was able to meet the increased amount requested. Thank you all for this incredible moment!

Also at the event, we celebrated several youth who were recognized for a variety of accomplishments, including academic success, community service, mentoring and leadership qualities. What an inspiring group! We look forward to sharing their stories with you later in the year.
