This year, we are celebrating five years of "Standing Strong" in memory of Madison. Thank you for helping us carry out our mission of raising funds for pediatric cancer research, supporting children and families impacted by this disease and building awareness in communities through education and events. LLM Funds $250,000

Clinical Study

Live Like Madison is pleased to award $250,000 to Lars Wagner, MD a pediatric hematology oncology specialist at Duke Children's Hospital and Health Center for the CATSINDO Trial (Clinical and Translational Study in Newly-Diagnosed Osteosarcoma).

Dr. Wagner's two-year study will aim to safely reduce the amount of time pediatric osteosarcoma patients spend in the hospital while receiving chemotherapy. While the study is being conducted in several North Carolina hospitals, the results of this study could have a profound impact on improving the lives of pediatric cancer patients and families nationwide.

Running for Live Like Madison

Jay Flowers recently participated in Running with the Knights 24 hour Ultra Marathon remembering Madison every step of the way! This was the 2nd year Jay supported Live Like Madison by running in this event. Sporting shirts featuring Madison, Jay completed 64 miles over a 24 hour period! "Madison represented everything that is right in this world while she was here, and her foundation allows that same light to shine even though she is no longer with us physically." Jay plans to run for Madison in this event again next year.

$5,000 Grant Received

We are honored to have received a $5,000 grant from a local foundation! The funds will be used to bring joy to children by replenishing Madison's Toy Chests at Scotland Memorial Hospital. Madison was always concerned about the other young patients in the hospital and wanted to do anything within her power to make them smile!
