Friends,
CELEBRATION isn’t the word that initially comes to mind when you think of 2020, right? Celebration has been hard…seemingly almost impossible at times. Online graduations, drive-by birthday parties, sports teams winning divisions, series, and championships without any fans in the stands. But for Reach Out, we are celebrating this month for a variety of reasons!
Celebrating 45 Years:

In case you haven’t heard, we are hosting a Texas Celebration! If you haven’t registered to attend this event, it’s not too late! You can participate online by connecting with us through zoom on October 17th, 10am CST. We will be celebrating Reach Out Youth Solutions – past, present, and future, with special guests Barry St. Clair and Josh McDowell. We will also have special zoom appearances by several of our country leaders! Join us (and invite a friend to join us!) for this FREE live online event!

Celebrating Changed Lives:

This is Pasha and Tanya, and they are our country leaders in Russia. They are going to be joining us online for our Texas-sized celebration…and by the look of their most recent pic, I think they are ready!
  • This summer, 322 students in their area participated in summer camp, and 14 of those students were saved!

  • Also, after returning from a leadership retreat, their oldest son, Yegor, said, “Dad, Mom, I no longer dream of becoming a programmer, I want to become a youth pastor in Russia!” They are so excited to see how God is working in Yegor’s life this year!
Celebrating God's Provision:

A continent away, Charles Juma, African continental leader, was able to bring supplies to meet the physical needs of widows and orphans our youth leaders regularly minister to in that region of Kenya. Charles writes:

“They were truly overwhelmed by the love and kindness we have shown them. A good number of them are older widows and are dealing with various health issues as well. These widows fully realize that our financial intervention has literally saved them and their families from death by starvation. In a very special way, they asked me to express their gratitude to all of you who have given sacrificially to their cause.”
Celebrating God's Movement in Africa:

This month we are CELEBRATING a recent report from Malawi…
  • We are excited to announce that as Covid-19 restrictions continue to lessen throughout Africa, our leaders are currently planning 16 training events for youth leaders through the end of this year!
Celebrating a Good and Faithful Servant:

This month I attended a celebration of the life of Chuck Williams. He passed away on September 11. Chuck was a long-time supporter and friend of Reach Out. He deeply impacted Barry’s life…

"For reasons unknown to me, Chuck Williams chose to invest in me his vast understanding of how our ministry could function with business excellence, and even more important, how to listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying and then to act on that by faith. His stories of God’s supernatural guidance in both areas inspired me to greater excellence and stronger faith. Beyond that, Chuck loved me unconditionally. I sensed it and received it every time we spent time together. He put that love into action by gathering five men in Waco to fully support our ministry in Mozambique. Already I miss my good friend, Chuck!"

-Barry St. Clair
Here are a couple of pictures from our recent training in Mozambique, and the baptisms that followed.
Celebrating the Future:

In The Message, Philippians 4:4-5 is paraphrased this way,
“Celebrate God all day, every day. I mean, revel in him! Make it as clear as you can to all you meet that you're on their side, working with them and not against them. Help them see that the Master is about to arrive. He could show up any minute!”

Whether or not 2020 closes out with the ultimate celebration of Jesus’ return, this passage is an encouraging reminder to “Celebrate God all day, every day” and to keep focused on our mission to simply keep pointing people to Jesus! Thank you for partnering with Reach Out as we continue to live out that mission, reaching the younger generation of our world with the gospel.
Jesus is Lord,
