Kelry had her baby! Estella Noelle Kirschenmann is here and we are so thankful for a smooth birth, a healthy baby, and a joyous family celebrating their new life! Thank you for your prayers for Kelry, who knows her baby’s birth was a miracle!
We’re excited to get you updated on all that God is doing in Hollywood. Even though there is no new TV season, at least the AMPTP and SAG & AFTRA negotiators are talking, though there are still no new breakthroughs on a decision that would end the 123 day - and counting - strike! So, keep praying every day and know that your prayers are making a difference. Let’s pray……

Let’s praise God for Yvonne Orji, a successful comedian from Nigeria who is bold about her faith! We need to spread the word about all the Christians in Hollywood so that others here can get encouragement to talk more about their faith! Yvonne is a dynamo and we are thankful for her and others like her here!

We Praise God for our dear friend Major at nowthatsmajor, who recently released a dynamic album "The Hope of My Soul!" We pray that this album will fill people's hearts with hope and peace. We also pray that God continues to open doors of opportunity for Major to bless others with his gifts and make a MAJOR impact on the world, just as his mother prayed when she named him.

The actors are now on Day 40 of their strike and they are demanding that conversations start in order to end the silence. Let’s pray that the AMPTP will move, compromise, and end what is becoming a devastating strike for our entire industry!

DEMI LOVATO IS SLOWLY RECOVERING
We have asked you to pray for Demi Lovato in the past and we want to continue lifting her up to the Lord so that she can experience complete healing, renewal, and peace through Jesus! Here is an update on her struggles as she recovers from her drug addiction. May we see her become a new person through our prayers!

STRIKES ARE TAKING A MEDICAL TOLL | Medical professionals are starting to see the effect that these DUAL STRIKES are having on entertainment professionals. Would you please pray that the loneliness, discouragement and fear that this strike is exposing, will lead people to Jesus and not to depression medication! | | | |

TOM CRUISE & SCIENTOLOGY
Please pray for Tom Cruise and his relationship with his children and with his connection to Scientology. It's stated that as long as he stays faithful to Scientology, Tom is not allowed to be in contact with his youngest daughter, Suri, who is considered a "suppressive" person. So, though we have no proof if this story is true, it is one of many speculations in the news that Tom has to make a choice between Suri and Scientology. Please pray for Tom to be free of the bondage of Scientology and find the freedom that Jesus offers him and all of us.

THE VENICE FILM FESTIVAL
The 80th annual Venice International Film Festival is going since August 30th, until September 9th, 2023, at Venice Lido, Italy. There is a new art installation at the Venice Immersive, the Festival’s VR component, that uses Artificial Intelligence as a property of the work. Let’s pray for this progressive art form as it becomes more and more of a reality in our world today. We need to understand it and its possibilities in order to use it wisely.

WOODY ALLEN
We ask that you pray for Woody Allen, 87, who just completed what he believes will be his last film. He wrote, directed and produced it in France during the controversy of his sexual misconduct in the US. The film, Coup de Chance is a romantic thriller, shot in france, and is Woody’s 50th film of his career. Lets pray for Woody’s heart and for him to fall into the loving, saving arms of Jesus.

A PRAYER FOR OUR INDUSTRY VETERANS
Our HPN Local Chapter Director in Sacramento, California, Rosemary, sends out occasional emails with suggestions on how to pray for Hollywood. They are beautiful, poignant and effective and we are grateful for her. This was her prayer request this week and we wanted to share it with all of you and ask you to pray with us for these people, who have impacted the world through the past generation, but still don’t know Jesus!

Identity Crisis - The Movie
We want to pray for the professionals in our community who are touching the young people in our culture. Vertical Entertainment announces the release of the new faith-based film IDENTITY CRISIS, debuting on Digital and Video On Demand September 8. The producers are HPN members, Alexandra and Andrea Boylan. The Boylan Sisters Entertainment will be releasing a young adult novel that accompanies the movie, along with resources for students, in addition to companion materials for youth groups, churches and high schools.
