The Martin Luther King Jazz Awards honor individuals who have contributed to enriching their community, advancing cultural awareness through music and art, and furthering economic opportunity while adhering to the principals of non-violence.  

 

For the first time, we will honor a music educator who has impacted 

the local community and youth with the presentation of the Germaine Bazzle Award to

Music Educator, New Orleans Public Schools

 

 Immediately following the awards presentation, the honorees and the public are invited to enjoy a 

special performance of Tyler's Revisited featuring jazz vocalist Germaine Bazzle and pianist 

Paul Longstreth beginning promptly at 8 p.m.
