Halfway through the year already! Are we halfway through the Book of Acts yet?🤣

Is it too early to be thinking about Christmas? Not according to the retailers! It's Christmas in July, right? 🎄😘

So on that note, go ahead and mark your calendars now...our Christmas Service will be held on Sunday, 12/22/24 at our normal time of 10:30 am. We look forward to seeing you there and having a beautiful service celebrating our King!

Enjoy your Independence Day celebrations this week and be safe! Remember to thank our Lord and Savior for all the freedoms we still have today.

CHURCH FUNDRAISER

Get out those favorite recipes ladies and gentlemen! We are seeking recipe submissions until 7/14/24 for our very first LGC Cookbook! It's your chance to be a "published chef". 😂

Limit 1-2 recipes per person please and we are looking for Entrees and Desserts. The completed cookbook will be available to purchase in August!

At that time we'll need your help spreading the word as the cookbook will be available to purchase online and at the church.

How to submit:

"Old School" 😂(we have forms available at the Info Booth) you may also request to have one emailed to you. Please print clearly if handwriting (no cursive please). Once it's finished please return to Susan.

TIPS TO HELP YOUR PUP SURVIVE FIREWORKS

Our precious fur babies can get so anxious during fireworks season.

Below are a few tips to help keep them calm.

Don't take your pup to a fireworks show or let them outside when others are setting them off. (seems like common sense, right?😂)
Do make sure your furry friend has a proper ID! (collar tag, microchip) You'll be grateful they did in case an escape is made!
Try creating a "safe zone" inside your home away from doors and windows where they can retreat for comfort. A walk-in closet, inside laundry room, etc... Be sure to have a comfortable bed or crate with a treat and a favorite toy inside.
Use white noise to help cover the sounds. (sound machine, or a fan, or check YouTube for some soothing videos to play)

Hey Guys & Gals! LGC will be participating in Operation Christmas Child (Pack a Shoebox) again this year...boxes will be available for packing starting in late October.

Our O.C.C. Project Leader, Janice Powell, would like to remind you that now is the time to be preparing for your box(es). Take advantage of those "Christmas In July" sales!

"BACKPACK BLESSINGS"

We are excited to announce our very first school supply drive, "Backpack Blessings"!

This drive will benefit our own LGC Youth. We pray that each youth here at LGC will be blessed with a backpack full of school supplies to prepare them as they start their new year.

Starting July 7th, there will be empty backpacks in the church foyer ready to be filled. You will find school supply lists on the Info Table if you need ideas of what to purchase.

We will also be accepting financial donations to assist with purchasing each youth a gift card that can be used for other back-to-school essentials they may need. If you feel led to donate, cash/checks may be dropped in the offering baskets with "YOUTH" written on the outside of your envelope. *If donating by check, please be sure to write Youth in the memo section.
