Two years ago, a chance encounter with Delivery Manager Brent Hansen led Thomas White to ask a simple question: "Are you hiring?"

A week later, Thomas was on a Hansen's Dairy delivery truck moving crates of milk, heavy cream, cheese curds, butter and ice cream.

Today, Thomas remains a valued member of our distribution team, delivering our products throughout the Cedar Valley and beyond.

Our June Cow of the Month is aptly named Summer. She's 3 years old with a sunny and bright personality.

"She's a young, strong cow who enjoys life," says Herd Manager Blake Hansen.

In the milking parlor Summer shines as a natural leader among the herd -- in disposition AND milk production.

She leads her fellow milkmaids into the parlor with a confident stroll. There, she produces a whopping 100 pounds of milk per day, crushing the 80-pound average of her herd mates. Shine on, Summer!
