The National Education Association has a plethora of fantastic resources for any educator to help bring African-American culture and history into their curriculum.

Black History Month at the DuSable Museum

For over 60 years, the DuSable Black History Museum and Education Center in Chicago has been dedicated to the study and conservation of African American history, culture, and art. Throughout the month of February, they will be hosting events for all ages— from film screenings and live performances to virtual lunch and learn sessions.

Kane County ROE at the Youth Voices Forum on Mental Health Public Health

The Kane County Health Department held its 5th annual Youth Voices Forum on Mental Health Public Panel on Friday, February 2nd.

During the event, mental health professionals, school leaders, and student speakers from across Kane County gathered to discuss the current state of youth mental health.

Our team was involved in the event, providing Darryl Bellamy, Jr. as the keynote speaker and assisting with organization and logistics. We're proud to have been part of an event that amplifies youth voices and promotes better youth mental health support in the community!
