ESF students now have FREE, 24/7 access to virtual care services with TimelyCare. Students do not need insurance to access TimelyCare services, which include:

MedicalNow: 24/7, on-demand medical care.

TalkNow: 24/7, on-demand emotional support.

Scheduled Counseling: Select the day, time, and mental health provider of your choice. (10 visits per year)

New Paper Published on Therapeutic Horticulture 

Dr. Lee Newman, chair of the Department of Chemistry, and Daniel Collins, associate director of ESF in the High School, published a paper in the Journal of Environmental Health. “Growing Seed and Students: Therapeutic Horticulture Programs and the Involvement of University Students” focuses on the work they do with students through the Therapeutic Horticulture program at the Syracuse VA Medical Center.

Call for Abstracts I STRATUS Conference

The deadline to submit an abstract to present at the 2024 IEEE STRATUS Conference has been extended to Feb. 19.  


The STRATUS Conference will be held May 20-22 at ESF and brings together academics, industry professionals, government, and other domain specialists utilizing Unmanned Aerial Systems/Vehicles (UAS/UAV), commonly referred to as drones, for imaging and remote sensing applications. 


STRATUS 2024 puts the focus on hazards, environmental mapping, monitoring, and forecasting.

Every year, approximately 50 OLs welcome first-year students into college life. Be a friendly face in a crowd, answer questions, and provide guidance as our newest students navigate the college experience. Don't worry you'll receive training!

Student Conference I Abstract Deadline Extended

The Graduate Student Association and the Mighty Oaks Student Assembly are seeking abstracts for the CNY Conference on Environmental Science and Studies. The deadline has been extended to Monday, Feb. 19.


This free conference is open to both undergraduate and graduate students. Research students may submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations, sessions, or workshops.
