Youth Ultimate Frisbee League

Practices begin: July 8 on weekeday evenings

(Ages 7-15) Learn the fundamentals of Ultimate Frisbee, sportsmanship and teamwork while having fun and meeting new friends.

Family Fun Night

Fort Nisqually

The highlight of the evening comes with the firing of saltwater taffy from the candy cannon. Scramble across our meadow and collect as much candy as you can hold. Grab your picnic blankets and lawn chairs and travel back to 1855 for an evening of old-fashioned family fun!

Playground and Free Meal Program

Now until August 30 at various locations

When school’s out, parks are in! Our Playground and Lunch Program provides free lunch to all youth under 18 years of age Monday-Friday. In addition, activities and games are led by staff at six sites from 10 am-3 pm. Lunch is served from 12:30 to 1:30 pm.

Owl Together Now

Saturday, July 20; 7-9 pm

Point Defiance Park

(Age 6+) This evening event will take place at Point Defiance racing through 5-mile drive and finishing up through Point Defiance Zoo!

July 29-30; 12-7 pm at Wright Park

Free! The event takes place in Tacoma’s Wright Park the last weekend of July with a mix of arts and craft vendors, food vendors, and stage performances all showcasing the great people, cultures and traditions that make Tacoma the City of Destiny.
