As we celebrated Nurses' Week last week: May 6 - 12, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all of our Cedar Grove Nurses and remember the wonderful nurses that I had the honor to work with through the years who have passed!
I have been privileged throughout my career to work with a distinguished group of individuals; Deborah Horner, Tracy Simmons, Gesina Brooks, Alicia Ocampo, Alice DelRossi, Helen Sieg, Roseann Berringer, Alice Dowblinski, Rita Moore, Mike Shoen, Priscilla Blount, and Jennifer Bongo just to name a few!
Each of these nurses put their patients first and devoted their lives to being the best nurse they could be. I decided to take the path of healing as my career and will continue to do so remembering that I learned from each of these individuals and feel they made me a better nurse because of it!
Let us all go on and remember how important it is to leave our mark and try to mentor our young nurses coming into this rewarding career!
