Help Clothes To Kids Stock Up!

Our back-to-school shopping season is in full swing! We are serving hundreds of shoppers each week and need your help to maintain our great selection. Our goal is to send every student home with the clothing they need to feel comfortable, confident and prepared to thrive.

While we can use anything listed in our Donation Guidelines, our most needed items are:

*Shoes that are in good condition and suitable for school. Popular styles include athletic shoes (tennis, basketball, running, skate, etc.), slip-ons (e.g., Vans), canvas (e.g., Converse or Toms), flats, boots (all types) and black uniform shoes. Our most-needed sizes are for elementary school-age children (kids size 10 - youth size 5).

*Jeans, pants and shorts for ages 3 - 21. Anything girls (4T - 18), boys (4T - 20), young women (00 - 26) and young men (especially waist size 27 - 36) is helpful. Athletic styles (basketball or running shorts/pants, joggers, yoga pants, etc.) are especially popular!

*Short - sleeved shirts for ages 3 - 21 (4T/XS kids - 5XL adult). We most need sizes for elementary and middle school-aged students (kids sizes M, L and XL) and currently have an urgent need for men's sizes that would appeal to teens.

*Warm winter coats, jackets and hoodies for ages 3 - 21 (kids size XS - adult). We currently have an urgent need for men's sizes that would appeal to teens.

*NEW underwear and socks for ages 3 - 21 (kids size 4T/XS - adult). Adult sizes should be appealing to teens.

*Larger adult sizes that are appealing to teens help us offer our older shoppers the best selection possible. In the young women's section, we need pants (women's size 12 - 20, any style) as well as tops, jackets and hoodies (women's size L/XL and up). In the young men's section, we need athletic pants and shorts (all sizes up to men's 5XL).

Things we don't need:

  • Professional/business clothing. Our shoppers are most in need of clothing for school.
  • Baby and toddler clothing (size 3T and smaller). We serve ages 3 - 21 and do not need smaller sizes.
  • Housewares. Our space is limited, and our sole focus is school clothing. Please donate these items elsewhere.
  • Hangers. We have plenty, thank you!
  • Anything that is dirty or has stains, holes or damage. Items should be clean and ready hang in our shop. If you wouldn't give it to a friend, please don't give it to us!

Our team is passionate about supporting fellow nonprofits in our community! Please email Katie Jadwin for ideas about where to donate items that Clothes To Kids cannot take.

Sharing the Love

A huge thank you to The Melting Pot for selecting us as their featured nonprofit for the month of June. Their Charity Wine Dinner program raised an impressive $2,395 in support of our mission! And kudos to all of our friends who visited The Melting Pot to support us.

We are sending a big thank you to the CJW Bunco group for a very successful Undie 500. This fun and energetic crew collected more than 500 pairs of new socks and underwear for our shoppers!

We’ve got a fabulous school themed window, courtesy of our super-creative volunteer, Jamie Wasinger! Thank you for making our shop so welcoming.

We are so fortunate to have the generous support of United. They partner with us in many ways, and recently delivered more than 800 brand new backpacks for our students. During the delivery, their team members were able to help several shoppers find the perfect pack, which definitely made everyone’s day!

This amazing group from Hercules Industries had a great time helping out in the shop. They have already volunteered with us several times this year and we always love having them!

These sweet and stylish sisters found exactly what they wanted during their shopping trip. Special thanks to our friends at Garb for their regular donations of brand new clothing, including the outfit on the right!

This fabulous crew from the Kroenke Sports & Entertainment Outdoor Sportsman Group spent a very productive morning with us earlier this month. Not only did they volunteer, but they donated a Colorado Avalanche pennant signed by the team for our Blue Jean Bash auction.

This enthusiastic volunteer crew from PwC made a significant impact during their Day of Service. They jumped in right away helping with everything from organizing and restocking to sorting and hanging items throughout the store. Their energy and willingness to assist was truly appreciated!

We were fortunate to host a stellar volunteer group from Avalue Insurance. They focused on restocking jeans throughout our shop, which is always especially important in August! They also made a generous financial contribution. We are grateful for their kindness, hard work and team spirit!
