Thanks to Some Very Special Volunteers
In celebration of her 7th birthday, Annabelle Baxter asked her party guests to donate packages of new socks and underwear for Clothes To Kids shoppers in lieu of gifts. Her generous guests donated more than 100 pairs!
After noticing a major shortage in warm winter coats for girls and boys, Clothes To Kids volunteer Kathy Hoskins posted a neighborhood-wide plea for donations on the Nextdoor.com social network. She returned in less than one week with a carload of coats...many new! Several other volunteers have followed Kathy's lead and our racks are getting fuller by the day. Many thanks to this inspiring volunteer!
We had lots of fun hosting this terrific group of volunteers from Western Union . Thank you for all of your work and the $500 supply grant! Kudos to the team at Metro Volunteers for connecting us with this great opportunity.
A great group of youth and adults from Xcel Energy Colorado shared their time and talent with us as part of their annual September 11th Day of Service last month. Thank you for helping us serve 60+ back to school shoppers in one morning and for your generous supply grant!
Charlene Andrew made her third annual donation of beautiful crocheted hats; we counted 100 total! Charlene spends an entire year crafting these hats for our back-to-school shoppers, who are always so thankful to have something so thoughtfully hand-made.
This wonderful crew from Chili's volunteered their time sorting, restocking and assisting shoppers. Over the summer, Chili's also held a district-wide clothing drive and surprised Clothes To Kids with a $1,500 grant. Thank you for the many ways you support the Clothes To Kids mission!
Our newest Student Ambassador Lauren Jimenez created a collection of beautiful "Crafts for Charities" bracelet kits for our shoppers as part of her Smile for a Lifetime service project at Theroux Orthodontics ! It was an honor to be part of your work and we are so grateful for your support.
Our friends at Liberty Media held their annual back-to-school shoe drive, and it was a HUGE success! They collected 200 pairs of new shoes and 250 pairs of new socks, plus $1,500 in gifts and corporate matches. Thank you for helping so many of our students put their best foot forward in the new school year!
2017 Blue Jean Bash Photos & Video
Nearly 400 guests helped us celebrate our Third Annual Blue Jean Bash on September 23, 2017, at CU South Denver. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, auction donors and those who gave in the special appeal, we raised $195,000+ (and counting!) for Clothes To Kids of Denver - our most successful year yet!
Event guests were treated to a special video "Thank You" from some of our Clothes To Kids shoppers.  Watch it now  by clicking the image at the left.
