Special Thanks to Our "Deal Finders"
While most items that we offer to our shoppers come from families and individuals, a very special group of volunteer Deal Finders spend countless hours each week shopping to fill gaps in our inventory. In 2023 alone, this dedicated crew bought more than $100,000 worth of items, which is impressive considering our average cost per piece is just $5.00!

Thank you to Judi Buzbee, Ann Connor-Dunning, Kathy Frank, Mary Grice, Kathy Hoskins and Marie Payne for helping us provide a great selection for our shoppers!

Our friends at Dependable Cleaners have once again filled our coat racks with the proceeds from their annual Coats for Colorado drive. Special thanks to our wonderful volunteer Paige Hogoboom and her friends who made the trip to pick up two car loads of more than 100 coats.
| |
Dillon Dubois from Conscious Alliance delivered 10 pallets of new FILA brand clothing and shoes for our shoppers. Their team wasn’t able to use these items so they reached out to us and we happily accepted the donation. Partnerships don’t get any better than this!

The Rocky Mountain Chapter of National Charity League collected more than 500 books for our waiting area. This has become a special spot where shoppers can read while they wait and take anything they want to keep with them. And special kudos to Barb Walker (pictured at bottom left) our volunteer resident librarian, for always organizing and keeping our books in order and looking great!

Our terrific volunteer Nichole Prince has again taken her role of Eagle Ridge Elementary School Bin Champion to the next level. She recently brought in another delivery of clothing from the bin, all professionally cleaned and folded.
| |
This amazingly energetic group from Hercules Industries checked every item off their to-do list during their last volunteer shift. Hercules staffers have also volunteered to pick up and deliver several large donations for us during the past year, including truckloads of clothing donations and furniture. What a great team!

These wonderful ladies from Denver-based Vitality brought us ten boxes full of brand new sports bras, leggings and sweatsuits. Our shoppers have been thrilled to have such a nice selection of these popular items. Be sure to check out this fabulous, local company for all your athleisure needs!

Our friends from Common Threads Denver have been donating quality clothing at least once a month since 2017. Their contributions have made a difference in so many lives! The lucky young lady pictured here was recently able to select a whole outfit from their donations.

Krista O’Rourke (right in photo) recently presented our executive director Kathleen Phillips (center) and development director Valerie Lunka (left) with a $10,000 grant from the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation. This gift will be used to purchase shoes for our shoppers. We are thrilled to have the support of this wonderful group for a second year in a row!

We had so much fun with the volunteers from Lotus Network last week. What an absolutely fabulous group! We are grateful that you chose to kick off your new Heart of Volunteering program with an evening on service in our boutique!
