Welcome to Catch Up With Young Kim, my weekly e-newsletter to get you the latest on my work for you in Congress.

My team and I are here to serve you. If you ever need assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to my office. I also encourage you to receive real-time updates on my work for you in Congress by following me on FacebookTwitterYoutube and Instagram.

It's been a busy week in Washington! Here are the highlights:
We are able to enjoy our everyday freedoms because of the dedicated service and sacrifice of those who answered the call to serve.

This week, I introduced two bills to rename a Placentia Post Office after U.S. Army Private First Class Jang Ho Kim, a Valencia High School graduate who made the ultimate sacrifice in Iraq, and a Yorba Linda Post Office after U.S. Marine Corps Sergeant Major Robert J. Cottle and Lance Corporal Rick J. Centanni, Yorba Linda residents and brothers in arms who lost their lives together in Afghanistan.

I am proud to honor these fallen heroes who lost their lives too soon in the fight against terrorism and to help ensure future generations in our Placentia and Yorba Linda communities remember their names and their stories.
Human trafficking is modern day slavery that unfortunately occurs in our backyard.

This week, I launched a CA-39 Human Trafficking Task Force to hear from those on the front lines and work together on lasting solutions to stop human trafficking and hold those responsible accountable.

Thank you to the Orange County Human Trafficking Task Force, Anaheim Police Department, Orange County District Attorney Spitzer's Office, Orange County Sheriff's Department, Waymakers and Crittenton Services. I look forward to working together to identify problems and find policy solutions.
Congrats to Miguel Vargas on the grand opening of Elevated Barber Studio in La Habra! With the help of his supportive friends, family and community, Vargas is working hard to build his American Dream in CA-39.
The Problem Solvers Caucus endorsed my bipartisan Uyghur Policy Act to help the U.S. take concrete steps to hold the PRC accountable and support Uyghurs facing unthinkable atrocities every day simply because of their faith and ethnicity.

The bill now has 65 bipartisan cosponsors. I urge Speaker Pelosi to bring it to the floor for a House vote.
Team Young was honored to join the 56th Annual Excellence in Placentia Gala to celebrate local businesses for their outstanding contributions to the economic health and quality of life in our community.

Congratulations to these excellent local leaders!

Fentanyl kills more Americans age 18 to 45 than car accidents, suicide or COVID-19.

I joined Rep. Bryan Steil to call on the Biden administration to support a permanent extension of fentanyl's Schedule I status and stop the flow of fentanyl in our communities.
While the CCP uses Beijing 2022 for their propaganda, each of us must come together in strong support of those who are trapped under their control in the years to come through congressional action and corporate responsibility and morality.

I will keep pushing back against human rights abuses in China.
Happy National Pizza Day to all who celebrate! Team Young enjoyed a slice of CA-39 at Zito's Pizza in Anaheim Hills.
I am excited to continue my tradition of highlighting incredible women in our community during Women's History Month in March.

If you know of a woman in CA-39 making an impact in business, sports, community service or more, please nominate them below.
I am committed to helping California's 39th District get through the COVID-19 pandemic better than before. As we reopen our communities and get people safely back to work, I will do all that I can to make sure my constituents receive the relief you deserve.
