We are able to live our daily lives in the land of the free because of the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives to protect ours.  

 

We also cannot forget the sacrifices of our gold star families, spouses, children and friends of those who lost their loved ones in combat. Our hearts are with you always.  

 

I hope everyone stays safe and is able to take some time over the long weekend to reflect on the meaning of Memorial Day. 

I joined the Irvine Taiwanese Presbyterian Church in Laguna Woods over the weekend to pray for healing amidst this tragedy and to honor Dr. John Cheng's heroism. 

These new officers will go on to a basic officer leadership course per their assigned branch and then to their first unit. CA-39 is proud!

Dwelling place in Anaheim provides a place of dignity where community members can come for quality food, language classes, homework help, employment services, housing assistance and more. They are building an empowerment model for the nation and I'm grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside them! 

As long as this border crisis persists, our communities suffer. That's why I introduced a bill to create a Southern border strategy and continue to urge the Biden administration to take action.

Thank you to my partners at OC Sheriff, Anaheim PD, Women's Transitional Living Center, Orangewood Foundation, Waymakers and Orange County United Way­ for joining me to discuss their work to prevent human trafficking, educate our community, prosecute perpetrators and serve survivors.  

During this meeting, we focused on the rise of vulnerable children being targeted and exploited online and discussed ways we can expand upon and improve prevention efforts.

When it comes to U.S. service academy nominations, I’m proud to have one of the most competitive congressional districts in the country. I was thrilled to recognize the nominees and outstanding candidates who were appointed to our service academies’ Class of 2026. 15 nominees and 3 additional candidates were offered an appointment this year:
