Welcome to Catch Up With Young Kim, my weekly e-newsletter to get you the latest on my work for you in Congress.

My team and I are here to serve you. If you ever need assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to my office. I also encourage you to receive real-time updates on my work for you in Congress by following me on FacebookTwitterYoutube and Instagram.

It's been a busy week! Here are the highlights:
We had a productive discussion at our first CA-39 Human Trafficking Congressional Task Force meeting on what's happening on the ground and how Congress can help address and prevent human trafficking in our SoCal communities. Hearing this insight is vital so we can work on solutions.

Thank you to stakeholders from Orange County Sheriff's Department, Anaheim Police Department, Orange County United Way, Waymakers, Crittenton Services, The Salvation Army Orange County, Orangewood Foundation, Womens Transitional Living Center in Fullerton and South OC Human Trafficking Collaborative for joining and for your important work!
Great to catch up with our Chino Hills community at the City of Chino Hills Pop-Up! Thank you to our Chino Valley Fire District for all that you do to keep us safe.
Station Donuts has become a pillar of our Yorba Linda community not only for their
mouth-watering donuts, but also because of their goodwill we’ve seen through efforts like their custom donuts to honor Aiden Leos.

I enjoyed catching up with owners Borey and Susan Heam!
Happy 100th Birthday to Laurel Elementary School in Brea! Laurel has served the Brea community since September 1921. The school opened with 139 students and today over 450 students call themselves Leopards.

In the Fall of 2016, Laurel underwent a transformation and became a magnet school that emphasizes innovation and career exploration. Students utilize one-to-one technology devices to engage in STEAM programs, collaboration with community business partners and project-based learning.

I'm grateful for the many educators, past and present, who have strived to make Laurel the amazing school it is.
The Roland Center helps hundreds of adults with developmental disabilities receive support and skills needed to become self-sufficient, confident members of our workforce.

I enjoyed seeing their work firsthand and appreciate their efforts to break down barriers in our communities.
I'm grateful for the work of Patriots and Paws to support our active-duty service members, veterans and reservists by providing furniture and other household items to help get them on their feet.

Thank you for showing me your Anaheim facility this week and for all that you do!
I'm grateful some of our CA-39 Women’s History Month honorees could meet in person this week.

Women are consensus builders, problem solvers and know how to get things done. These women are trailblazers across industries who are making our local communities better every day and paving the way for future women leaders.
Team Young was honored to join the Chino Valley Fire District to celebrate the official swearing in event for Fire Chief Dave Williams. Chief Williams began his career with CVFD in 2008 as a firefighter/paramedic and worked his way up the ranks to Captain, Battalion Chief, Deputy Chief of EMS and Training, and now Fire Chief.

I know his experience and knowledge will serve our community well!
Congratulations to the Troy High School's NJROTC Distinguished Unit! Team Young was honored to help recognize their outstanding commitment to education and our nation.

One student is headed to West Point and another to the Naval Academy. We are so proud!
As a wife and a sister of veterans, I understand and appreciate the sacrifice of all our nation’s men and women who answered the call of their country. We will always remember their service in defending our freedom.

My team would be honored to help celebrate their service through the United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration program.
I wrote to President Biden urging for an international humanitarian aid airlift.

This would provide the U.S. and allies with a non-escalatory way to quickly deliver nonmilitary supplies like food, water and medicine to Ukraine as the brave Ukrainian people defend their freedoms and livelihoods from Putin's unprovoked aggression.
Casework & Catch Up
Need help with a federal agency, like the Small Business Administration, IRS or the VA? My team and I are here to help.
Have a great weekend!
Sincerely,
Young Kim
