Welcome to Catch Up With Young Kim, my weekly e-newsletter to get you the latest on my work for you in Congress.

My team and I are here to serve you. If you ever need assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to my office. I also encourage you to receive real-time updates on my work for you in Congress by following me on FacebookTwitterYoutube and Instagram.

It's been a busy week! Here are the highlights:
Chris Walsh lit up every room with his kindness, sense of humor and charisma. He was always willing to help out our team, his friends and loved ones. He made us work harder and brought out the best in us.

Without Chris, I would not be here in Congress nor be the person I am today.
As you sit down to watch the Beijing 2022 Olympic Games this week, remember that the Chinese government is watching too.

While the CCP spouts propaganda, each of us must come together in strong support of those who are trapped under their control through congressional action, corporate responsibility and morality.
Join me in wishing Carrey Nelson a very happy 95th birthday! Carrey enlisted in the U.S. Navy at 17 years old in 1944. He fought bravely in World War II and in the Korean War, retiring after 20 years at the rank of Master Chief Radarman – an E9 which is the highest enlisted rank in the US Navy.

When Carrey returned home, he continued to serve our Brea community in the city council and as Mayor (twice!). He still serves as an advisor to current and past council members of Brea, and is now the longest living former city mayor in Orange County. His legacy of service and sacrifice to our nation is an inspiration to us all.
As we celebrate Lunar New Year, I wish you and your loved ones an abundance of joy, good health and success.

This year is special to me as someone who was born in the Year of the Tiger and a proud Tiger Mom. With the tiger's fighting spirit, there's no limit to what we can achieve!
The Chinese Communist Party has made clear their goal to stop at nothing to beat the U.S. in science and tech.

Unfortunately, instead of working together to expand STEM opportunities and hold the CCP accountable, Speaker Pelosi's CONCEDES Act plays right into Xi Jinping's hands.
Congratulations to Walnut City Manager Rob Wishner on your retirement! Team Young was proud to help recognize his 16 years of dedicated service to our Walnut community.
SCORE Mentors provide mentorship and educational resources to our entrepreneurs as they work to start and grow their small business and create jobs.

I'm grateful to my Small Business Committee colleagues for joining me to support this important program that has proven to be a lifeline for many small business owners in our community. The bill has officially passed through committee and now heads to the House floor.
Throughout Black History Month, we remember the resilience of the many African Americans who overcame unfathomable hurdles to achieve the promise of America and blaze trails for others. We honor the tremendous contributions of those making our communities better each and every day.
This hall in Buena Park honors longtime resident and pioneer of Buena Park's Youth Theatre Program Ruth Walp and will help allow future generations explore and flourish in the theatre. Team Young was glad to help commemorate this new facility!
I am excited to continue my tradition of highlighting incredible women in our community during Women's History Month in March.

If you know of a woman in CA-39 making an impact in business, sports, community service or more, please nominate them below.
I am committed to helping California's 39th District get through the COVID-19 pandemic better than before. As we reopen our communities and get people safely back to work, I will do all that I can to make sure my constituents receive the relief you deserve.
