The STEP Improvement Act to support small businesses passed the House this week!

I introduced this bill with Rep. Dwight Evans, Congressman Mike Flood and Congresswoman Marie Newman to help small businesses expand into new markets.

The SBA Cyber Awareness Act I led with Rep. Jason Crow passed the House and is headed to the president's desk! 

Entrepreneurs need certainty that they can safely use SBA resources available to them and keep their information safe. 

A new GAO report found that 91% of colleges MISLED potential students on the true cost of their education. Senator Chuck Grassley, Senator Tina Smith and I are working hard to pass the Understanding the True Cost of College Act to bring transparency.

I will not stop fighting to make life more affordable for the communities I represent.

American peace, prosperity and strength require a strong national defense equipped with the proper training, support and equipment needed to meet global challenges wherever they find us – on land, at sea, in the air, in space or cyberspace. The NDAA helps us support our troops and protect our national security at home and abroad.

I'm glad my efforts to track the delivery of U.S. defense equipment sold to our allies and prioritize the reunion of Korean Americans with their family members in North Kora were included.

As we face growing aggression from adversaries like China, Russia and Iran, the need for a capable, modernized military is more important than ever. I will always stand with the brave men and women who keep America safe.

I joined American Red Cross to send messages of love and hope to our armed forces, veterans and their families this holiday season.

My heart is with you always.

Team Young was glad to join community members for the tree lighting, live entertainment, arts and crafts and a special visit from Santa Claus.

Thank you to the Richard Nixon Foundation for saluting our local heroes. 

More than 60 Gold Star families were given ornaments honoring loved ones who lost their lives defending our freedoms to place on the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum Christmas tree. We will remember them always.

Congratulations to Placentia Council member Craig Green on your retirement! Team Young recognized his work, thanked Mayor Rhonda Shader and welcomed new Council member Kevin Kirwin, Mayor Ward Smith and Mayor Pro Tem Jeremy Yamaguchi. 

I appreciate their service to Placentia!

The Sunburst Youth Academy is part of the National Guard Youth Challenge Program, targeting at-risk youth ages 16-18 and helping them get back on track. 

Team Young celebrated the graduation of Youth Academy Class 30! I know their futures are bright.

I’m proud that Team Young has returned $17 million+ back to CA-39 taxpayers and helped 3,500+ constituents receive assistance from federal agencies like the IRS, SBA and the VA.
