Summertime

and the fishing is easy...

Whether you're new to fishing or you're an experienced angler, the more you do it, the more you love it.

Alberta has diverse fishing opportunities, from rivers and streams to stocked ponds suitable for beginners and experts alike.

Still, trying to figure out where to go? Download our FREE Alberta Discover Guide app or visit our stocked lakes webpage for a list of stocked ponds throughout the province!

And don't forget July 13 - 14 is Alberta's FREE Family Fishing weekend! Enjoy fishing without needing a sportfishing licence on waterbodies with open fishing seasons. Just keep in mind that if you're using a Special Harvest Licence for Walleye, you'll still need to purchase a sportfishing licence.

Happy fishing, everyone!
