Alabama State University has been nominated to participate in The Home Depot's 2018 Retool Your School campus improvement grant program. Designed to reinvigorate HBCUs, the program allows finalists to compete for more than $300,000 in grants for on-campus improvements.
From now until April 15, 2018, ASU fans and supporters can vote in two ways:
- By casting one online vote per day at www.retoolyourschool.com.
- By using your ASU's unique, designated hashtag (#ASU_RYS18) to cast unlimited social media votes through Twitter and Instagram.
A total of $360,000 will be granted to the nine HBCUs with winning proposals. Based on ASU's enrollment, the University could win a prize of up to $50,000 to make upgrades to the campus.
The winners will be announced by May 1, 2018, at The Home Depot headquarters in Atlanta.
