Reading Challenge

We're partnering with Mass Center for the Book to bring you a monthly reading challenge!

How the challenge works:

  • Choose a book that fits the monthly challenge.
  • After you read, fill out this form to tell us about the book.
  • Using our NEW submission manager, you will be able to log in and access the entries you’ve logged throughout the year.
  • Dedicated readers will be invited to a year-end celebration hosted by Mass Center for the Book.
  • If you read a book in each of the 12 months, you will be entered in a drawing to win 1 of 2 totes filled with books.
  • New this year! We will be drawing two names on the last day of each month to win a free book! Make sure you get those entries in before the end of the month.

From the Foundation

Thanks to you, we did it! Thanks to our incredibly generous supporters, the Cary Library Foundation is delighted to announce we've reached our $750,000 fundraising goal for ChiRP! These funds will support the Library's upcoming Children's Room and Lower Level Renovation project, which also is supported by municipal funding. The Foundation's substantial contribution to this major library renovation exemplifies the public/private partnership which has created and sustained the Library since its founding.

Our community has demonstrated wide-spread support for this project, with hundreds of generous donations by both current and former residents of all ages, local businesses, and non-profit organizations. Single donations reflect a wide range, representing our community's exceptionally strong commitment to Cary Library. If you are interested in supporting or becoming involved with the Foundation, please contact Mary Ellen Ringo, the Foundation's Executive Director, at meringo@carylibraryfoundation.org and 781-354-2996.

More Resources

We also have passes to many museums around the area. Take a trip to the Museum of Fine Arts or bring the family to the Boston Children's Museum!

Check out our Library of Things collection! You can find lots of Things, from board games to film conversion tools, crafting tools to puzzles, you can even play guitar!
