From the Foundation

Tickets are still available to Party at the Library!! This is your rare chance to join your friends and neighbors and eat, drink, shake those tail feathers, and talk in a loud voice at the Library - without anyone shushing you! The Foundation is throwing a big community-wide bash on Saturday, April 6th, from 7 p.m.-10 p.m, in support of ChiRP!, the Library's Children's Room and Lower Level Renovation Project.

Tickets are still for sale at the Early Bird ticket price of $125 per ticket. Tickets can be purchased online at www.carylibraryfoundation.org/tickets or by check, made payable to the Cary Library Foundation, and sent to the Foundation at 1874 Mass. Ave., Lexington, MA 02420.

As part of this party, we have a live online auction with amazing items, including unique vacation homes at Martha's Vineyard and on the Snake River in Idaho, dinner with a Nobel Prize winner, and the chance to have your name as a character in best -selling author and Lexingtonian Marjan Kamali's upcoming book. You can bid now on a terrific range of items - bidding closes on April 6 at 9:30 pm.

To view auction items and bid, please go to www.carylibraryfoundation.org/online-auction. If you can't make the Gala, you can still participate in the auction. Questions? Contact Mary Ellen Ringo, the Foundation's Director, at meringo@carylibraryfoundation.org and 781-354-2996. Hope to see you at the Gala!

April Celebrations - Library Staff and Volunteers

Along with Spring and flowers in April, comes a time to celebrate some special people.

National Library Week is April 7-13: We have the opportunity to celebrate our wonderful Cary Library staff, leadership, and custodians who, seven days a week,

maintain and provide us with a vibrant inviting library. Cary library offers so many

resources including books in all types of formats on endless topics, in-person and hybrid programs, passes to museums, parks and cultural attractions, Library of Things and so much more for all people of all ages.

National Volunteer week is April 21-27: It is a week to celebrate the many Cary

Library volunteers who donate thousands of hours every year to help raise funds for the library, support and host many programs, sell gently used books and so much more!

Please take a moment to say “Thank You” to our Library Staff and Volunteers!

More Resources

We also have passes to many museums around the area. Take a trip to the Museum of Fine Arts or bring the family to the Boston Children's Museum!

Check out our Library of Things collection! You can find lots of Things, from board games to film conversion tools, crafting tools to puzzles, you can even play guitar!
