Is Summer’s end Autumn’s gain for residential real estate?  We’re certainly planning on it. Although our August was the busiest for us in a number of years, we believe our LA market will pick up a new velocity after the Labor Day break.

Undoubtedly, a new inventory of properties will be released post-Labor Day with anticipation of waiting buyers who have seen the slim Summer inventory and found it lacking. Hopefully, those new Sellers will give good thought to careful pricing.  We are at record high prices for almost all neighborhoods in our city.  This is the time to price your home competitively so it catches the attention of interested buyers who are likely reviewing neighborhood statistics with their agent or via technology.

We enjoyed our time with NBC’s Open House at the impressive Michael Feinstein estate compound in Los Feliz and the televised segment is visible below . The intriguing history of the mansion’s former Russian Consulate status pre-Cold War, gives many reasons to consider the private discussions that may have occurred within these walls.  Under Feinstein’s ownership, we know the walls have enjoyed hearing the American Songbook as famously played and sung by performer Michael Feinstein. Footsteps away from LA’s other iconic residence, the Frank Lloyd Wright Ennis House overlooking the entire city, we claim that there is no finer time to consider Los Feliz as the ultimate residential enclave near Downtown than now. Call us – we’d love to show you!
