Construction Continues at Ed's House

We're thrilled to share the latest progress on the Ed's House expansion, which officially commenced on February 5th!

Dalren Limited site supervisor Mark Carleton, along with his staff, is seen here inside the framing for the oxygen and suction mechanical storage rooms, which will also be retrofitted to our existing 6 suites to provide comfort care to our residents at end of life.

During this 6-8 week renovation phase, Dalren Limited is dedicated to reducing any disruptions to a minimum. They're tirelessly working to mitigate noise, dust, and dirt, ensuring a seamless progression towards our objective of enhanced capacity and care. Additionally, they have constructed a temporary wall at the end of the resident hallway to further minimize any inconveniences.

The crew will be on-site Monday through Friday until the end of March, diligently working to bring us closer to achieving our mission of providing exceptional care to those in need.

If you have any questions or would like more information, feel free to drop by, send an email to Sherry, or call us at 365-400-7580 ext. 150. Stay tuned for further updates as we progress!

Thank you, Mary-Beth & Tucker!

A huge thank you to Mary-Beth and Tucker from St. John’s Ambulance for bringing and spreading joy at Ed’s House! Their therapy dog efforts not only brighten the lives of residents and their families but also lift the spirits of our dedicated staff. Tucker's unwavering love is cherished by everyone here at Ed's House!

Inner Wheel Club of Cobourg Jello Donation

The Inner Wheel Club of Cobourg, Canada District 707 graciously invited our Director of Hospice Services, Sherry Gibson, for a presentation during their meeting on February 12th. During the meeting, they generously presented her with a significant donation of pudding and jello.

One of their esteemed members, Joan Rolph, who also volunteers in Ed’s House kitchen, has initiated a special service project aimed at gathering items for kitchen use. In support of this initiative, Inner Wheel members collected and donated boxes of puddings and/or Jello, essential staples for our kitchen. This effort will continue for some time, with different food items being collected each month. Stay tuned for updates on the monthly contributions!
