The Ed's House Expansion is Complete!

We're thrilled to announce that the Ed's House Expansion project, which officially began on February 5th, has now reached its completion! Thanks to the dedicated efforts of the construction crew at Dalren Limited, our vision has swiftly transformed into a tangible reality. We appreciate their unwavering commitment to minimizing disruptions, ensuring a smooth journey toward the finish line.

We are thankful to the entire construction team for their hard work and commitment throughout this journey. Your diligence and expertise have made this expansion possible, allowing us to enhance our community service by transforming four "future" suites into spaces capable of accommodating more individuals. With our capacity increasing from 6 to 10 beds, we can further elevate our care provision for our residents.

We would like to also express our graditute to Dalren Limited also for their support of Handbags for Hospice 2024.

We want to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported us along the way. Your contributions have played a vital role in making this project a reality. If you're interested in continuing to support our efforts, please contact our donor relations team at 905-885-0466, scan the above QR Code or by clicking HERE.

For any inquiries or further information, don't hesitate to drop by, send an email to Sherry Gibson, or give us a call at 365-400-7580 ext. 150.

Join Us in Creating a Dementia-Friendly Community

We are thrilled to invite you to our upcoming Education Session at Eds House on June 5th, where we will be discussing initiatives to foster a dementia-friendly environment in our community.

Dementia affects millions of individuals and families worldwide, and as a community, we have the power to make a difference. By coming together, we can implement practical solutions and support systems to enhance the lives of those living with dementia and their caregivers.

During our meeting, we will explore various strategies, including raising awareness, providing education and resources, and creating inclusive spaces. Together, we can ensure that everyone feels understood, valued, and supported, regardless of their cognitive abilities.

Whether you're a caregiver, healthcare professional, business owner, or simply someone who cares about building a compassionate community, your voice is essential in this conversation.

Join us at Ed's House Northumberland Hospice Care Centre's Educatiom Room on June 5th at 10 am. RSVP today to Sharlyn Gillespie at s.gillespie@commcare.ca or call 613-475-4190 x105.
