Dear Parents,

Wow!  I don’t know about you, but I cannot believe that May is here! There is so much going on at school.  This week we had the May Crowning mass where we crowned Mary with roses.  Next week our theatre department will be putting on Shrek, the Musical.  One of the beautiful things about our school is that our students have the ability to try so many different things - clubs, theatre, music, and sports.  I encourage you to come out next Friday or Saturday night to see our students in this production - 7pm at Marian University’s Theatre both evenings.

We have also been celebrating our seniors at their respective sport’s senior nights.  This week we highlighted our track team, boys volleyball, and girls tennis teams.  Next Wednesday we will honor both our baseball and softball teams.

If you are a parent of a senior, consider purchasing an advertisement for the yearbook congratulating your senior (maybe even with cute baby picture and a senior picture).  The cost of those is $25.  All ads are a quarter page.  If you are interested, please send your information to asap, so you can reserve your spot.

Please continue to pray for our school community as we pray for you and your family.

In Christ’s Peace,

Kari Jost, Principal

Prayer for Students

Lord our God, in your wisdom and love you surround
us with the mysteries of the universe.
Send your Spirit upon these students and fill them

Grant that they may devote themselves to their studies

We ask this through Christ our Lord.

R/. Amen.

Reserve Your Spot - LIFT Academy Open Hangar

Join us for an Open Hangar on Thursday, May 16 at our Indianapolis and Myrtle Beach campuses from 3:30 - 6:30 p.m. Tour our campus, meet our staff, talk with our partners and discover the path to a career as a commercial airline pilot at Republic Airways through the LIFT Academy Program. Whether you're an aspiring pilot or simply curious about aviation, this is an exclusive opportunity to get an up-close experience of LIFT!

Soaring to Success: Honoring Alicyn Williams, LIFT Academy's First Cape Air Graduate

Alicyn Williams is making history as the first LIFT Academy alumna to graduate from Cape Air and move on to Republic Airways, a significant milestone in her journey as an airline pilot. LIFT Academy offers two pathways for aspiring aviators to begin their commercial airline careers: the first involves partnering with Cape Air to gain valuable pilot-in-command experience, while the second allows them to serve as Certified Flight Instructors (CFIs) at LIFT Academy. Soon, LIFT will offer a third pathway for students to accumulate hours and anticipates its launch in late 2024. Graduates like Alicyn build flight time and earn compensation as First Officers and then as Captains for Cape Air before advancing to Republic Airways. As Alicyn embarks on the next chapter of her career, she reflects on her remarkable journey.

Breaking Barriers: LIFT Academy and Tuskegee University Partner to Propel Dreams of Aviation

LIFT Academy – a premier pilot training program founded by Republic Airways Holdings, in partnership with Tuskegee University, embarks on training the next generation of aviators at the historic site of the Tuskegee Airmen, the pioneering flying unit in the U.S. military. Located in Tuskegee, Alabama as a nationally ranked historically black university, Tuskegee University is dedicated to nurturing and challenging students to grow to their fullest potential.

Founded to create opportunities for those who dream of being a pilot, LIFT Academy has thrown the hangar doors wide open for men and women who thought becoming a pilot was simply not within reach. Together, LIFT Academy and Tuskegee University will help close the opportunity gap for becoming a pilot so that students can realize their potential and pave the way for their successful careers.

Did You See Us at SUN 'n FUN Aerospace Expo?

Our crew is still flying high from the 2024 SUN 'n FUN Aerospace Expo! Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth. The Women ACES's Breakfast was a true highlight, featuring five talented women professionals from Republic Airways and LIFT Academy. If you are ready to fly with LIFT, there's no better time than now to submit your application.

Watching the 2024 Solar Eclipse

After months of anticipation, LIFT Academy staff and students across Indianapolis, Galveston and Myrtle Beach gathered to watch the solar eclipse. LIFT Academy joined NASA at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway to watch the once-in-a-lifetime event at the Racing Capital of the World. Our LIFT Lab was a big hit with its virtual reality flight experience!

Not only will students gain knowledge and skills to help them succeed in college, but they will also get a taste of campus life when they stay overnight in the dorms, eat in our dining hall and get to know peers from a wide variety of backgrounds and places.

Tuition for each program is $270, or $20 for families earning less than $175,000 annually.
