Congratulations to Annandale's 2022-23 ESS Award Recipients

This year, Annandale Public Schools has five ESS (Educational Support Staff) Award Recipients; Jen Sommers (Community Education), Holly Ward (AES), Jeannie Quinn (AES), Teri Schmidt (AMS), and Deb Chollett (AHS). These staff members will be recognized for their outstanding work and contributions to our district at the 12th Annual Leadership in Educational Excellence Banquet and Awards Ceremony held on November 16th in St. Cloud at the River's Edge Convention Center.

Educational Support Staff are voted on by their colleagues for their excellent work with students and staff. Jen Sommers is extremely ambitious and passionate. She wears many hats in the Community Education department, from front desk assistant to coordinating our youth and adult enrichment programs. Jen puts forth her all no matter what the role! Holli Ward is an absolute gem. Whether she is working with a student one-on-one or in a small group, the students love being around her. She shows patience and calmness in every situation. Jeannie Quinn is incredibly dedicated. She works with students to help improve their reading and meets with students to build their social skills. She is so respected by our community that she is often asked to tutor students in the summer. Teri Schmidt is conscientious and puts others first. She goes above and beyond and helps create a positive learning environment for our students and staff everyday. Deb Chollett is exceptional! Not only does Deb manage all of our AHS finances but she also manages our Student Services Office. Deb assists our students, staff, and families, and is also a wonderful mentor.

Congratulations to this year's recipients - We think YOU are simply the BEST!

Football team finds stride at the end of the season

The Annandale football team knew they would be young with only a few returning starters and a schedule that at one point included 5 ranked teams. After a 1-4 start, the team started hitting their stride winning 3 in a row including the Battle for the Paddle! They went on to beat Cathedral at home before falling to the #1 seed (Milaca) in overtime 36-34. Congrats on a great season and thank you seniors!
