Sisters new to foster care receive blankets
Tina, one of our dedicated Blanket Angels, works with a group of women at her church to make blankets for MVOB.

Tina shared with us this note written to the group by one of its members who saw firsthand the difference a blanket can make.
My sweet sisters,

First, I want to thank Tina for introducing us to My Very Own Blanket and for giving us the opportunity to make blankets for kiddos in foster care. Today I got to see firsthand the amazing blessing it is to the kids who get them.

My daughter got two beautiful sisters (ages 7 months and almost 5 years) as foster kids late Wednesday night. They each had a blanket. Izzy, the 4 year old, got to pick an Elsa blanket and she LOVES it!!

So, again, THANK YOU dear friends for investing your time and talents in such an amazing gift!!
Our 2023 goal: Blankets for 35,000 Children in Foster Care

Together we can do it, one blanket at a time!

Canadian Blanket Angels!!
Blanket Angel Vivian, who lives in Ontario, Canada, has made 5 blankets for her local Children’s Aid Society (CAS).

Vivian told us, “Last Sunday we made a presentation to a small group about MVOB. Troy Gardiner, a CAS worker and good friend, came and picked up the blankets. Troy spoke about 3 sisters in foster care who will be receiving some of the blankets.

Troy has suggested making pre-teen and teen sized blankets. She told me they could share dozens and dozens of blankets. I’m looking forward to making and sharing many more!”

All 1's = exceptional blankets!
We want to provide lasting gifts for children in foster care, and we encourage our Blanket Angels to create blankets -- yarn, material or fleece -- that they would be proud to give to children they love.

To do that, we compare each donated blanket against a 1 – 4 quality checklist. Learn more
