We are reopening our group class venues from Sunday 12th September
- can you actually believe it?
Here is our new timetable from September 2021
Finally, we are restarting our group classes once again at our various venues as we start to get back to some kind of normality. I think we all need a some social interaction and to start living our lives again.

Which venues are opening? Wombourne Civic Centre, St. Mary's at Stourbridge on both Mondays & Tuesdays, Beacon Centre for the Blind remains closed for now so this class has moved temporarity to Penn Bowling Club, St.Columbas at Sutton Coldfield, Streetly Youth & Sports Centre, Showell Lane Studio at Lower Penn are all open. Both the Bridgnorth and Smestow School at Castlecroft remain closed for now but dancers can attend one of the 3 Wolverhampton venues which are the closest if they wish.

Private Lessons for both Adults and Children. These have been running now for most of this year at our Showell Lane Studio for which you can just ring us to book in.
How Safe is it to dance ? Well firstly all staff have all been vaccinated and over 80% of the population is now double vaccinated. We have also been checked by the environmental heath department who were very impressed with our regime and confirmed we are Covid secure. As you can imagine, we comply with every regulation and we will ensure the studios are not overcrowded. We recommend dancers do a lateral flow test before attending if you can, for extra piece of mind and ask that no one attends who has a cold or Covid symptoms.
Social Dance at Wombourne
on Friday 24th September
As we now get back to competitions we have a mammoth task of trying to raise a seasons worth of money for their outfits and extra training before the formation season starts so that the children can perform once again. If you have any good fundraising ideas or know of any sponsorship we could apply for, please let us know.
Can you help our Formation Teams?
18 months of Covid lockdowns has meant we have not been able to do our fund raising for our wonderful formation teams.
Other News & Dates for your Diary
Our Halloween Dance will be held at Wombourne Civic Centre on Friday 29th October. - one of the best Halloween dances around , they are always a lot of fun with lots of dancing. Details soon.
The Zig Zag Christmas Dance will be on Friday 17th December and will be held at the beautiful Wombourne Civic Centre. A night of beautiful dancing, food and friendship thats not to be missed.
Filming starts this week on an exciting new project. Its currently top secret but Baby Ballroom fans might recognise a few Zig Zaggers. Cant wait to spill the beans but you will have to be patient for now!
Strictly is due to be back on our screens in the next few weeks, this time with new judge Anton du Beke. Personally we think this is a great move and feel he will be a great addition bringing some much needed ballroom knowledge to the panel. We've known Anton for over 35 years and competed against him many times and couldn't be more pleased for him.
Alicia and Yuriy got married this year on what turned out to be a wonderful and very special day. Yuriy has now also been granted his British residency meaning we will be able to enjoy their infectious personalities and wonderful dance skills non stop as they teach and share their knowledge with Zig Zag pupils.
Now that weddings are back taking place, dont forget that a wedding dance will complete your day. Standing there just rocking from side to side isnt really going to cut it so give us a call and we can suggest music, help you with cutting your track, will teach you how to dance (even those with two left feet,) and we will create a dance that you will never forget.
and finally....
Dont miss out!
If you are feeling a little rusty or nervous about starting back to classes, remember we do private lessons 7 days a week to help you catch up and get your confidence back. Private lesson slots are limited due to spacing regulations so don't miss out, remember to book your slot now as the diary is getting very busy.
