PowerPoint Templates

This is a reminder the MAC team's Brand Portal is your one-stop shop for tools to properly market Civil Air Patrol. For instance, we get a lot of questions on where to find branded PowerPoint templates. The answer, of course, is the Brand Portal. Check out the Blue Wave Cover and Blue Gray Footer templates now available on the portal.

Updated Sticker, Too

Also, MAC has updated the oval CAP” sticker (pictured below), which is often used at air shows, open houses, and other events. The updated sticker spells out the words Civil Air Patrol” and includes U.S. Air Force Auxiliary as well touting CAP's Total Force partnership with the Air Force. Find the updated sticker on the Brand Portal at this link.

Wing Website Unification Project

If your CAP wing has not copied your wing website in SiteViz, or reached out to the MAC team to discuss your timeline, please do so by Aug. 16. You can also talk with MAC staff at the National Conference in San Antonio at our table in the Hangar. So far, 31 wing websites have been copied, two are live,” and several other are in various stages of review and approval. We’ve also discussed timeline adjustments with several other wings. If you have not done any of these, please send a status update to MAC via email at this link. MAC recently updated the FAQs document on the CAP Websites page on GoCivilAirPatrol.com. This page also has links to directions to make updates to your website(s) in SiteViz, which provides valuable resources for your project.

Brand Compliance

The Brand Management team meets online biweekly to assist members and staff with brand compliance. If you have a brand-related question, can’t find what you need on the Brand Portal, have a request for something new, or need a review of an item you created, simply email the brand team.

COMMUNICATIONS

Marksmanship Pamphlet

A new pamphlet, CAPP 150-15, Marksmanship & Shooting Sports Activities Brand Guidance and Marketing Best Practices, is ready to be published. This Marketing and Strategic Communications pamphlet provides high-level direction to advise CAP members on the best way to approach public communications about firearms-related activities. Its primary goal is to help avoid any negative perception that could tarnish the Civil Air Patrol brand image and potentially drive people away from CAP, underscoring the importance of its recommendations. Learn more about CAPP 150-15 at this link.
