The ITGA Conference, hosted by Colorado State University and the City of Fort Collins, provides an ideal place to meet with colleagues to enjoy learning about FoCo's burgeoning breweries, platinum rated bike-friendly culture, vibrant arts and music scene, as well as its health-conscious and “green” way of living. Certificate Level II: Reframing and Aligning Equity Efforts in Town-Gown Communities
This pre-conference program will illuminate what is commonly taken for granted when striving for equitable outcomes and systems-level change. Participants will deepen their understanding of DEIJ with respect to vision and values that move beyond an emphasis on "outputs" toward equity and liberation that benefits all marginalized groups.
Dr. Cori Wong is a speaker, writer, educator and consultant with 15 years of training and leadership experience related to intersectional feminism, antiracism, social justice, and inclusive culture change. She brings all this experience into her work through Positive Philosophy Consulting,LLC, which was featured in Oprah's Spring Issue of O Magazine. Dr. Wong led diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives at Colorado State University. To learn more, click here.
Certificate Level II: The pre-conference program is scheduled for June 6, from 9:00am-3:00pm in Colorado. Due to the importance of this content, Certificate Level I is not a pre-requisite for Certificate Level II. To register, click here.

The Department of Data looked at urban areas where college students make up the highest share of the population. And, the 'collegiest' town in America is Alfred, N.Y., where students make up an astonishing 85% of the town's population.
Amid Conflict, Middlebury Adopts New Noise Ordinance
Middlebury residents and off-campus students now have to turn the volume down by 11:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturdays. Town residents can call the police to report any excessive noise with fines up to $800.
SUNY Brockport's Program Ranked Fourth in the Nation
The Department of Healthcare Studies' Addictions and Behavioral Health Program has been ranked the fourth best in the nation for training addiction counselors. Substantial growth is predicted in the substance abuse field due to the opioid epidemic that worsened during COVID.
Investigation Launched into Anti-Ukrainian Harassment
The University of Victoria is looking into recent reports of harassment towards members of the Ukrainian Students Society. UVic president Kevin Hall: "I want to assure the university community... that we are taking action to address the discriminatory, harassing behaviour."
