The Calvert County Family Network (CCFN) is supporting the Grab 'n Go Summer Meals Program hosted by Calvert County Public Schools (CCPS). This program ensures kids have access to nutritious meals all summer long. Weekly meal kit distribution will take place Wednesdays through Aug. 7 at the following sites:


🍎 Calvert High School from 12:30-1:30 p.m.

🍎 Southern Middle School from 9:30-10:30 a.m. 

🍎 Windy Hill Middle School from 9:30-10:30 a.m.

The Department of Planning & Zoning invites public feedback on the June 2024 draft of the Prince Frederick Town Center Master Plan Update. Residents, businesses and stakeholders are encouraged to review and comment on the draft plan until Sept. 25, 2024.

Calvert County Parks & Recreation is seeking qualified local artists to collaborate with park staff on a large-scale mural design for the renovated basketball courts at Cove Point Park. Read more for details and submission information.


The deadline for submissions is July 24, 2024. For applications visit www.CalvertCountyMd.gov/Mural. This contest is open to individuals of all ages.

Fall sports registration opens July 22. Signups are available through Aug. 4 or until divisions are full. Youth sports available include soccer for boys and girls from pre-K (4 years old) through grade 12, field hockey for girls in grades K-8, tennis lessons, and a volleyball clinic for children ages 10 to 14. Adult sports include tennis lessons, fall co-rec softball, and pickleball ladder leagues.

You can also visit the main office located at 901 Dares Beach Road in Prince Frederick or any Calvert County community center to register.
