It’s time once again for you to vote on the slated members for the offices of Elder and Deacon. All members in full communion, 18 years and older are eligible to vote on the slated members for incoming board leadership positions.

We will be voting this year in person during our meeting on May 26 following the service.

Oak Lawn Elder Slate: Jim Vande Werken (3 yr), Phil Stanton (3 yr), Mike Meyrick (1 yr)

Oak Lawn Deacon Slate: Vernon Zumhagen (3 yr), Matt Huizinga (3 yr)

Spiritual Gifts Test

Our new sermon series, 210:Equipped to Serve, is designed to help everyone at Calvary Church find a meaningful place to use their gifts to serve and build up the church. We encourage you to take this spiritual gifts test to help you discern the gifts God has uniquely given you.

Vacation Bible School | June 17-21 from 6-8 PM

At Breaker Rock Beach VBS 2024, kids will learn that God’s truth never changes in this world of shifting sands. Kids will be challenged as they discover that God’s truth never changes, everyone needs Jesus, and learn to speak the truth in love. Adventure awaits each day as kids play games, enjoy crafts, spot orcas, fly kites, and watch the mighty waves crash up against the immovable Breaker Rock!

Church Meeting | Sun., May 26 following the service

Members will vote on the new slate of Elders and Deacons, a revised Oak Lawn budget, and share some of our Oak Lawn Leaderships' vision.

We will grill out after!

It takes many people to make our Sunday services warm and inviting. Sign up for a 30 minute role on a Sunday morning to help make everyone feel welcome! Serve Team sign-up will be in the west entrance lobby on Sunday.

Join a Connect Group

Go beyond the sermon with 4 groups that gather between Sunday and Thursday to go deeper into the sermon scripture or venture into another study of the Bible. If none of those work for you, let us know and we can discern if God wants to start a new group! DonnaM@thisiscalvary.org.

Monthly Prayer Gathering | Wed., May 15

Join us in the Worship Center for our monthly prayer meeting to pray for our church, local community, and the nations. We meet the 3rd Wednesday of each month.

Seniors Fellowship | June 12

You are invited to join our Seniors (age 60+) for a time of fellowship and lunch! This group meets monthly on the second Wednesday at 12:00 PM. Please let Theresa Wiltjer know if you plan to attend so she can plan accordingly for food purchases. 708-489-6680
