Prayer for Peace and the Pandemic
Good, and gracious God, creator of our beautiful world and everything in it, you are a just, compassionate, and loving God who we call upon to help us in these troubling times. A terrible pandemic is attacking people in our country and throughout the world. Provide your healing touch to help and comfort those affected by this scourge. Help us to each do our part to reduce the spread of the disease. Help the unemployed, the homeless, and the forgotten. Help those fighting the virus to be successful so that those infected can recover and that the vaccine distribution will be effective and delivered quickly so this pandemic will come to an end.

Also, Heavenly Father, we live in a time of tremendous anger and unrest. We call for you to spread justice, fairness, opportunity, and peace to all people regardless of race, religion, sex, ethnicity, economics or education. Protect those who are peacemakers and those who work to keep us safe. We ask you to calm people so that we can work together to live up to the promises voiced at the founding of our country. We call for you to protect those under attack and to end violence in all its forms. Jesus called us to love our neighbors as ourselves. We pray that you will guide us to ways of loving our neighbors, Help us and all people learn to live together in peace and harmony so that violence will cease throughout our country and the world. Help us to do your will. In Christ holy name we pray. Amen.

Prayer through the Ages
Help us, O Lord, to conquer all harshness of judgement with your gentleness; to quench all meanness of spirit with your generosity and to defeat all indifference of compassion with your fervor.
Teach us to be courageous in loving, patient in suffering and attentive in prayer; through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Today's Prayer
Dear Lord, Help us remember what a difference it makes when we make time with You a priority in our mornings. Awaken us in body and spirit each day with a desire to meet with You and to hear You speak words of affirmation, assurance, and wisdom as we prepare for they day. In Jesus' name today we pray.

For those sick with Covid19. God, heal and sustain their bodies and spirits.

God, protect our vulnerable populations and our elderly and those suffering from chronic disease. Provide for the poor, especially the uninsured.

For our friends working the Covid19 front lines: Alayne Snyder, Drs. Johnny and Riny Kovoor. and Erik Lindholm.

We pray for our families, for every relationship most dear to us, that you would guard our time, and our lives together.

For our friends, family and colleagues where ever they may be throughout the country and world.

We ask that you fill us with your Spirit of love and unity among believers all across this nation.

We ask for your help to set aside our differences and look to the greater cause, the cause of Christ. We ask that you would help us to truly live a life of love.

Lord Jesus, as we share a moment of silence together, we bring before you those needs known only to ourselves and name them in our hearts.

We pray for your protection as one nation under God. We ask that you surround this country and cover us with your mighty hand.

We pray for unity in our land, that in spite of our differences, we would be willing to stand strong together and live out our days with compassion and grace.

We ask for all these through Jesus the Christ, Amen.
