Save the Date - 2021 Innovate Michigan! Summit
The 10th annual Innovate Michigan! Summit will be held online on Thursday, September 2nd, and Friday, September 3rd via Zoom with an in-person reception on the afternoon of September 3rd. The Innovate Michigan! Summit features presentations on innovative economic development tools, models, programs, and policies from around the state.

Broadband Development Efforts in Michigan
On June 2nd, 2021, Governor Gretchen Whitmer signed Executive Directive 2021-02 to establish the Michigan High-Speed Internet Office (MIHI) under the Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity. The MIHI will oversee funding for the planning and implementation of broadband deployment in the state. The goal is to lower the cost of high-speed internet and make it more accessible to communities suffering from the digital divide.
