Call for Artists

Eligibility: Exhibition is open to all 2D and 3D fine arts media. 


The theme is open to all subject matter.


2D Work: All media accepted for consideration. Work must be wire-strung, ready to hang (no saw- tooth hangers). Not exceeding 50" in any direction. No ornate frames please.



Entry Fees: There is a non-refundable entry fee, for up to 3 pieces - $25 for non AVAA Members; $20 for current AVAA members. Payment via PayPal on the AVAA website under Join Us at http://www.avaaonline.org/join-us. Please see drop down menu under AVAA Memberships & Programs and click on "Show Fee (Member) or (Non Member). If you don't have a PayPal account, you can pay on this link by debit/credit card. Or, checks payable to AVAA and mailed by the deadline to Kelli Montgomery, c/o AVAA, 1700 Alcove Ct., Austin TX 78757. Memberships may be renewed by entry deadline. Your entry fee helps with reception and show costs. 


Entry Format: Only digital submissions will be accepted. All images must be in jpeg format (image size under 2MB, please). Entrants may submit images via e-mail to kelli@avaaonline.org. Name all electronic files as follows: lastname__titleofwork.jpeg. Abbreviate as needed on electronic file name, but be sure the entry form has the complete information.


Judging: Artwork will be chosen from submitted entries. Notifications will be by emailed by March 19 at 5 p.m. 


Sales: No commissions are taken on the artwork. Art must remain on display for the duration of the show. Payments to the artists will be made within 15 days after the close of show. Artists are responsible for their own sales tax. Work sold during the exhibition through credit card payment is subject to 4% processing fee (so please factor that into your price). The gallery is open Fridays, noon-3, and Saturdays, 11-5. 


Delivery: Hand-delivered work will be received at Austin Art Space on Sat., March 23, noon-4 p.m.


Return of Artwork: Artists or artist representatives are responsible for picking up their work on Saturday, April 27, noon-4 pm. All works must be picked up on this date.

Neither AVAA, nor its resident artists, will be liable for loss or damage of any work submitted for this exhibition. By submitting artwork to this exhibition the artist agrees to the conditions set forth in this entry form.
